Susan Simmons is a phenomenal endurance swimmer who quite possibly spends more time in the water than some people do awake in the day. In 2014 and 2015 Susan took on the personal challenges swimming in Lake Cowichan, attempting to complete 105km in 2015 (in one session). With both swimming and philanthropy as passions, Susan swam for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Special Olympics.
This summer Susan, and support swimmers, will take on a new and exciting challenge in the ocean off Northern BC. Starting July 11th, Susan will begin swimming from Ocean Falls BC to Bella Bella. While in the frigid waters, Susan wears no wetsuit.
The power and determination required for any human being to accomplish such a lengthy swim proves that one can be strong and fight MS.
We wish Susan well as she prepares for this amazing endeavor!
